Valerie Gerrits
Speech Language Pathologist
"I grew up in Eastern Oregon and have always loved living in the Pacific Northwest. After working with a school district in McMinnville, Oregon, I moved to Olympia in 2011 and began working in private practice. I love the freedom to tailor therapy goals to each unique child!
I opened Olympia Speech & Language in 2024 because I wanted to create a welcoming, safe environment for families to find support. I wanted to go beyond providing speech and language therapy by coordinating with other professionals and resources in the community to best serve each family.
My husband I have 2 boys, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 13 chickens. When I'm not at work, you can find me digging in my garden or out on a camping adventure with my family!"
Specialties: early language development, articulation therapy, stuttering therapy, and phonological processes therapy.
